Will anyone find out that I booked this?
The consultation is a one-to-one online appointment. There is no clinic in your city to attend and no reception to register at. Your details are used to arrange the consultation and are handled as set out in our Privacy Policy.
How much is the consultation?
The standard Tourmedx consultation fee is $50 / 2,500 EGP. Any current discount is applied to that fee before payment, and the exact amount is shown to you before you pay.
Can I speak in Arabic?
Yes. Consultations are conducted in Arabic or English, and you can state your preferred language when you book.
Can a doctor really assess this remotely?
Many consultations begin with a detailed history, and that part is well suited to a video appointment. Whether a diagnosis or treatment recommendation can be given remotely depends on your case, the information available and what can appropriately be assessed without a physical examination.
Will I be given a prescription?
That is a medical decision for the doctor, based on your case and on what may lawfully be prescribed where you live. It is not something the consultation guarantees in advance.
Do I have to travel to Egypt?
No. The consultation is complete in itself. If the consultant recommends treatment that is best done in person, Tourmedx can coordinate the appointments, quotations and travel arrangements — but that decision stays with you.
What if I need further treatment or surgery?
The consultant will explain what any recommended treatment involves and what the alternatives are. If you decide to proceed in Egypt, Tourmedx coordinates the hospital appointments, treatment quotations, travel, accommodation and follow-up.
How do I pay, and is it secure?
Payment is completed on PayTabs’ secure hosted page. Tourmedx does not handle or store your card details.
Can I send my test results before the appointment?
If reports would be useful, Tourmedx will provide an appropriate secure way to share them. Please do not send medical records through public social-media messages.
Is this suitable for an emergency?
No. An online consultation is not an emergency service. If you may have a medical emergency, seek urgent care through your local emergency service.
